Welcome to the SkyFarm App ("App"), operated by Skylark Group Pvt Ltd ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our application, and describes your rights and choices in relation to that information.
Please read this policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described herein.
SkyFarm is an internal enterprise application. Access is restricted to employees and authorised personnel of Skylark Group Pvt Ltd. Accounts are provisioned by the company — there is no public registration.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
Accounts are created and managed by Skylark Group on the backend and assigned to farm staff. The information associated with your account may include your name, employee identifier, assigned farm, and role within the organisation.
2.2 Poultry Operational Data
SkyFarm is a farm management application designed exclusively for poultry operations. The only "health data" we collect relates to the health and wellbeing of birds in Skylark Group's care — we do not collect any human health data whatsoever. Specifically, we collect data entered by authorised users for farm management purposes, including:
- Rearing records: flock details, shed and house assignments, daily records for female and male birds (mortality, culling, sexing errors, stock transfers, closing counts), feed type and consumption, light hours and intensity, body weight, uniformity, and weekly assessments.
- Laying records: flock details, daily egg production data (total eggs, hatching eggs, commercial eggs, crack and destroy counts, average egg weight), female and male bird counts, feed type and consumption, and daily activities.
- Hatchery records: source farm egg receipts, setting stage data (damage, crack, small eggs, estimated chicks), transfer stage data (moisture loss, infertility, egg weight), and hatching stage data (saleable chick counts, destroy quantities, hatcher loss, cull chicks).
- Activity logs: flock-level activities recorded during daily entries, including vaccinations, medications, disinfections, artificial insemination, grading, and touching events.
- Flock lifecycle events: flock creation, rearing-to-laying transfers, farm transfers, and flock closures.
This operational data is entered by Skylark Group employees for internal farm management purposes. It is not human health data, is not used for any unrelated commercial purpose, and is not sold to third parties.
2.3 Usage Data
We automatically collect certain technical information when you use the App:
- Information about how you interact with the App, including features accessed, session duration, and navigation paths.
- Device information such as device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
- IP address and approximate geographic location derived from your network connection.
2.4 Log Data
Server logs including timestamps, app errors, crash reports, and diagnostic data are collected to maintain and improve App stability.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features.
- To authenticate users and manage access to assigned farms and roles.
- To store and display farm operational records for Skylark Group's management purposes.
- To enable multi-farm management and data synchronisation across devices.
- To send service-related communications such as updates, technical notices, and support messages.
- To respond to enquiries and provide user support.
- To detect, investigate, and prevent unauthorised or unlawful activity.
- To comply with applicable legal obligations.
- To analyse usage trends and improve the App's features and functionality.
4. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
- Account information: Retained for the duration of your active account. Upon account deletion, personal identifiers are removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
- Poultry operational and farm data: Retained for up to 5 years from the date of last activity to support regulatory compliance and audit requirements common in agricultural operations. Earlier deletion may be requested (see Section 7).
- Usage and log data: Retained for up to 12 months for diagnostic and analytical purposes, after which it is anonymised or deleted.
- Backup copies: Backup data may persist for up to an additional 90 days beyond the primary deletion date before being purged from backup systems.
When retention periods expire, data is securely deleted or anonymised so it can no longer be associated with you.
5. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Within Skylark Group: Farm operational data is accessible to authorised Skylark Group personnel according to their assigned roles and permissions.
- Service providers: We engage trusted third-party vendors (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics providers) who process data on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, our company, or the public.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
- With your consent: We may share information for other purposes with your explicit consent.
6. Security of Your Information
We implement administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL protocols.
- Encryption of sensitive data at rest.
- Access controls limiting data access to authorised personnel only.
- Regular security assessments and vulnerability testing.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law.

8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to individuals under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). As an enterprise tool restricted to Skylark Group employees, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our App may use session tokens, device identifiers, and similar technologies to authenticate users and maintain sessions. These are necessary for the App to function. Crash and performance data may also be collected through diagnostic SDKs. You can manage certain device-level permissions through your device settings, though doing so may affect App functionality.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy with a revised "Last Updated" date and notify affected users via email or in-app notification at least 7 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
